Off-Campus Study Locations

Are you looking for a place off campus to do some studying? With exam season approaching, we’ve got you covered. KUCSC presents you with seven study spots around London! Let’s get started! 📚

#1. Dark Horse Espresso Bar - 86 Fanshawe Park Rd E, London

Dark Horse Espresso Bar is located beside Indigo in North London. This is especially great for book lovers. Sit down in the cafe (that has free internet) and lock in. I suggest an iced mocha for your study drink, but there’s lots of options. They even have some fall drinks out (like the iced Pumpkin Honeycomb Matcha) and they’ve got some yummy snacks (including vegan options!). Dark Horse Espresso Bar has lots of comfy seating and a calm atmosphere. If you get lots of studying done, maybe you can reward yourself with a new book!

#2. Black Walnut Bakery Cafe - 724 Richmond St, London

Black Walnut Bakery Cafe is a great spot for studying. It has lots of outside seating to enjoy in the nice weather, but also has plenty of comfortable indoor seating. The cafe has a warm atmosphere and delicious banana bread. They’ve got lots of drinks and food to keep you fueled while studying. Located on Richmond Row and only one bus ride away from King’s, this cafe makes a great place to get some work done.

#3. The Alley - 735 Wonderland Rd N Unit 15, London

Not a coffee person? Check out The Alley instead. Open until midnight, this makes a great spot for some late night study sessions. The Alley has some great vibes and even better drinks. They make their own sugar cane syrup AND their own tapioca to create the best bubble tea (like their Crunchy Tiramisu Milk Tea). They even have free wifi, so curl up in their comfortable seats and get to work while enjoying a bubble tea.

#4. Reset Social Cafe - 503 Talbot St, London

Looking for a study spot full of energy? Check out the Reset Social Cafe! Fresh smoothies and fresh coffee beans. The food and drinks here are so affordable and delicious. They serve breakfast all day everyday and have tea, coffee, juice, and smoothies! Everyone can find something they can enjoy here. The Reset Social Cafe also has free wifi so you don’t need to worry about not being able to access Brightspace. The atmosphere here is so lively and bright, pushing energy into you while you study.

#5. Commonwealth Coffee Co. - 478 Richmond St, London

Commonwealth Coffee Co. is a bright cafe with comfy seating! Commonwealth Coffee prides itself on being a warm seat in the heart of London. They’ve got the best matcha, but have a ton of different drink options, from coffee to lemonade! If you decide to make Commonwealth your go-to place, they have the best rewards program (gotta love loyalty programs that save you money). They even have house-made donuts!

#6. Central Library - 251 Dundas St, London

Looking for a free space where you can go to study? The Central Library is a great choice! With multiple floors to explore, you’re sure to find the perfect spot to study here. There’s lots of free parking and free wifi! There’s even a reading garden where you can enjoy fresh air while working. It’s got study rooms that you can reserve for two hours or comfy places around the building you can just show up and use!

#7. Panino Mio - 697 Wellington Rd, London

Free parking, comfy couches, free wifi, huge sandwiches. That basically sums up Panino Mio! This coffee shop is bright and colourful, giving great vibes for studying. You can get a delicious sandwich that is so big they give you a take-out container when they give you the sandwich— you’ll have extra for later too. They’ve got lots of different drinks for you to sip on while studying. From Turkish coffee to matcha, you’ll find something to try out and enjoy.
