Food Locker

The Food Locker is a food service managed by KUCSC in collaboration with King’s Student Affairs and Campus Ministry. The purpose of the Food Locker system is to help alleviate food insecurity among university students. Click here for the request form.

How it Works

Students can access the service by submitting a confidential form to the VPSA. After submitting the form, a hamper is packed according to the student’s needs and available stock, then placed in a locker located in the basement of the SLC. The student is notified and provided with a locker pin to pick up their hamper at their earliest convenience.

Disclaimer

Hampers are not standardized and differ depending on stock in the Food Locker. Students accessing the service are encouraged to access additional food resources in the area, as the Food Locker exists to act complimentary to other food resources.

This is a student-led organization so it may take 24-48 hours (excluding weekends) to process an order.

Students using this service are encouraged to contact Emily Carrothers, Associate Director of Student Wellness, for further support from the University and City. Additional support is also available through the University Students’ Council Food Support Services.

For any questions regarding the Food Locker, please contact the Vice President of Student Affairs at student.affairs@kucsc.com.
