The KUCSC is an excellent way to get involved in the King’s community! We provide King’s students with the opportunity to develop their professional skills and leadership abilities.
There are a variety of positions available on the KUCSC that cater to a variety of different engagement levels and skillsets. Getting involved with the KUCSC gives you the chance to become part of a community with other student leaders and help plan events or assist in advocacy work that you are passionate about.

Executive roles typically require a minimum of 25 hours per week, and it’s recommended to take a reduced course load. Time commitments for other roles vary. On average, all members should anticipate a 3–5 hour/week commitment to their role.
No prior experience is necessary. Passion, dedication, and a willingness to learn are what matter most. While all students are welcome to apply for paid KUCSC positions, these roles are typically prioritized for individuals with prior student leadership experience. This experience helps ensure a strong understanding of the responsibilities and impact of the role.

No, each KUCSC member may only hold one position per academic year.
Yes! Many KUCSC members balance their roles with other extracurriculars, but time management is key, especially for Executive roles with higher commitments.
For media positions, it is beneficial that those applying have experience using basic camera equipment, Canva, and CapCut, dependent on the role. However, this experience is not required, and creativity is ultimately the most important asset!
Events range from social mixers and interactive fairs to academic panels and large-scale campus-wide events like Grad Ball and Get Involved Week. We have various roles for small or ongoing events, and you can focus on areas that match your interests and skill level.
Not at all! These roles are open to anyone who’s passionate about promoting physical wellness and school spirit, whether or not you’re involved in varsity sports.
