Online Participatory Reading of the TRC: Calls to Action

December 15, 2022 marks a full seven years since the Final Report of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) of Canada was released.

The Center for Social Concern (CSC) and Social Justice and Peace Studies (SJPS) department at King’s University College invites you to join us for our online event of the participatory reading of the 94 Calls to Action from the TRC (2015). The TRC is foundational to the process of reconciliation in Canada and is a crucial document for all to engage with. Through this participatory reading, we will together make audible these Calls to Action, focusing on intentional actions taken this past year towards the implementation of the Calls and towards reconciliation.

The CSC and the SJPS Department are looking for 94 volunteers to read each of the Calls. We are over half-way there; we have 50 readers and 44 more who are needed. Both readers and listeners are welcome.

If you would like to be a reader, please email Carla Dew at cdew@uwo.ca.
