Hello everyone my name is Laura Crowe, and I am currently serve as president of the King's University College Student Council. This year I am fifth-year student at King's, working on an Honours Specialization in Political Science and International Relations with a concentration in Social Justice and Peace Studies and a certification in Law and Public Policy. I have lofty academic aspirations, including a master's degree in international affairs, a J.D., and a Ph.D. in conflict studies. My approach to student government is based on cooperation and teamwork, reflecting my interest in public policy and international issues. Since my first year, I have been actively involved in numerous King's activities. This is my third year on students' council, and I have been an active member of the Social Justice and Peace Studies Club. In addition to my work with the Social Justice and Peace Studies program, I have done advocacy work on campus, focusing on smaller-scale efforts related to gender-based sexual violence. This year, my goal as president is to foster and build community within the council and within the King's community, create partnerships for the council and the student body alongside enrich the student experience.
